What to do when you lose your pet?
Call our office 805-941-8007. We are available 24 hours per day, 7 days a week. If you have questions and cannot reach Peaceful Pets, please call Ivy Lawn Memorial Park (Ventura), 805-642-1055 OR Ivy Lawn Funeral Home (Camarillo), 805-642-1111. Either office is prepared to help and is available every day, 24 hours a day.
Timing
Your call is most important. Calling during REGULAR business hours or after hours, we answer every call. If you call and get a recording, you can call other numbers (see above) or leave your message, and we’ll call you back within 1 hour! If you need us outside our business hours (Mon-Fri 8am – 4pm) we are available as phones are transferred to our after-hours person. They are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Response
We respond to you immediately. For either burial or cremation, if your pet is to be picked up or you want to arrange to drop them off, you will be asked what location you prefer, either Camarillo or Ventura. Business days and hours are standard and require NO additional steps. If you need arrangements OUTSIDE normal business hours, we will accommodate you. However, if an after-hours appointment is needed there will be an extra charge $ 100.00 weekdays after 5pm.
Drop off or pick up
You decide. Drop off or pick up service is available 7 days a week. You decide to drop off the pet or have Peaceful Pets pick them up. Please let us know if it is a home pickup or pick up at the vet’s office. There is NO charge if we pick up in Ventura, Oxnard, Camarillo, Somis, or Port Hueneme. Other areas are available but due to distance and time there will be an extra charge of $ 100.00.
Locations
We offer a Camarillo location -1075 E Daily Drive or our Ventura location at 5400 Valentine Road. This choice applies for drop off or pick up of the urn.
Scheduling
Scheduling cremation is based on your needs. You can arrange for a specific time and date for cremation or Peaceful Pets will create the schedule. Cremation can be scheduled differently but we usually wait a few days from receiving the pet to allow you time to make final decisions.
Before cremation
Peaceful Pets will call you prior to cremation and we will finalize your choices and ask about last-minute needs or requests. You will be asked for final decisions regarding services and merchandise. Once verified cremation will move forward.
Cremation
Pet cremations are done twice a week, usually on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The schedule can be altered based on the needs of the pet parent. Cremation time depends on the individualized pet size and other factors. We will contact you by the end of the day of cremation with notification that cremation has been completed.
After cremation
Urn (see details below) is prepared for release. We will call you within 24 hours after cremation to make arrangements for pickup of the urn. You can pick up any time after notification from either our Camarillo or Ventura locations.
Cost of cremation
Cremation fees are determined by the weight of your beloved pet. Please see our Price List attached. Note additional costs that could apply are included on this List.
Included in cremation price
We include, at no charge, one ink paw print, and a “biodegradable” (cardboard) urn. See PHOTO and DESCRIPTION BELOW.

This eco-friendly urn, UV printed, proudly made in the U.S. is sized by the size of the pet. You can choose a design that is either plain or one that includes a distinctive paw print design.
